Which restaurant POS features should you compare?
Start with your service style, not a generic feature count. Give each provider the same sample menu and ask to see an order, a change to that order, payment and the kitchen ticket. Compare Clover, SkyTab or another proposed setup using the functions your team will actually need; the brand name alone is not a compatibility check.
- Counter service, café or bakery: test your busiest order, size choices, extras and receipt handoff.
- Table service: demonstrate open checks, transfers, split payments, tip handling and staff permissions where required.
- Food truck: check counter space, power, connectivity, portable payment needs and the agreed fallback when a connection fails.
- Pickup and delivery: identify every ordering channel and how staff will accept, prepare, update or cancel an order.
Will delivery and online orders connect to your POS?
Only the supported, configured connections should be treated as part of the plan. We help with DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub account and menu setup, photo uploads and integration assistance. Confirm compatibility for your exact POS, software plan and delivery accounts. A platform listing does not establish that menus, prices, availability, refunds and every order update all synchronize.
- Choose where each menu is maintained and who updates prices, modifiers and hours.
- Verify where orders appear, how they reach the kitchen and how staff handle a rejected or cancelled order.
- Identify any middleware, subscription and delivery-platform commissions separately.
- Test a pickup or delivery order end to end before relying on the connection during service.
Make your own website worth visiting
Your Infinity Pay service includes a business website. We agree on the menu, location information, content and supported ordering options with you. Professional menu photography is also a service we discuss for food businesses, with the shoot scope and schedule agreed in advance. The goal is a clear customer journey from discovering your food to taking the next step, whether that is exploring the menu, contacting the restaurant or using a supported ordering flow.
Know the costs and the support scope
Our service program is 4%. Your written proposal must explain how that rate applies, who pays each charge, the included services and any equipment, software or third-party charges. It is not a blanket authorization to add a 4% fee to a guest's bill. Compare proposals using the same payment volume, transaction mix, device count and ordering channels; a lower advertised percentage alone does not establish a lower total cost.
- Recurring costs: processing, POS software, equipment payments, ordering connections and other subscriptions.
- Separate costs: delivery commissions, installation or purchase costs, and any obligations under your old provider agreement.
- Terms: ownership or return of equipment, contract length, renewal, cancellation and access to records after the switch.
- Support: who handles payments, POS hardware and each third-party connection, and how your team contacts them.
Restaurant POS switching checklist
Keep the old system available until you have agreed how to preserve records and handle the changeover. We review what can transfer, help configure the agreed setup and walk your team through it. Installation timing depends on your location, account, equipment and connections; switching is not a promise of zero downtime.
- Before ordering: list current devices, menus, printers, apps, contracts and the staff who need onboarding.
- Before importing: confirm supported exports and what will not transfer, including any historical reports or gift card balances you need to retain.
- Before opening on the new POS: verify the menu, routing, permissions and required payment and ordering workflows.
- For changeover: assign an owner, choose a service window and agree on a fallback and support contacts.
- After changeover: reconcile initial orders and payments, check retained records and confirm old-service cancellation separately.

Our original installation footage includes Laghman Express in Brooklyn and Tandir Rokhat. The homepage also links to websites our team built for Butcher Chef, Shawarma Stop and Sharq Family. These are examples of installation and website work, not a promise of the same configuration, processing savings or business results for your restaurant.
